CHALLENGE
As a provider of business-critical software, Axept places high demands on the underlying IT infrastructure. Abacus solutions support key processes such as finance, human resources, order processing and corporate management. Consequently, stable operation, high availability and the reliable protection of the company data being processed are of paramount importance. At the same time, requirements vary depending on the customer, the size of the organisation, the Abacus modules in use and other integrated systems. The infrastructure must therefore be flexibly scalable and adaptable to changing needs. For Axept, a clear separation of responsibilities was also crucial. Whilst the company’s own specialists focus on consultancy, implementation and further development of the business software, an experienced infrastructure partner should ensure the professional operation of the cloud platform.
SOLUTION
With the MTF Private Cloud, MTF provides Axept with a secure and scalable operating platform for the Axept solutions AXvicloud and AXviSaaS. The infrastructure is operated in Swiss data centres and tailored individually to the requirements of each customer’s environment. This allows for flexible support of different company sizes, user numbers and performance requirements. Should requirements change, computing power, storage and other resources can be scaled up accordingly. MTF is responsible for the reliable operation and monitoring of the infrastructure and, depending on customer requirements, provides additional services such as backup, recovery, security services and technical support. Axept remains the central point of contact for customers and is responsible for consultancy, implementation and support for the Abacus solution. This clearly defined division of responsibilities combines Axept’s application expertise with MTF’s cloud, security and operational know-how. This results in a coordinated end-to-end solution for shared customers, with clear lines of responsibility and centrally coordinated operations.
