Multi-cloud, modern workplace and security, all from a single source
CHALLENGE
KORN.HAUS’s existing IT infrastructure was based on an on-premises server setup. This environment was increasingly reaching its limits: the old setup was no longer able to fully meet the growing demands for flexibility, scalability and modern digital working practices. KORN.HAUS’s existing IT infrastructure was based on a local server solution that could no longer meet the growing demands for flexibility, scalability and modern working practices. KORN.HAUS therefore wanted to fundamentally modernise its IT – with a clear cloud strategy, greater stability, higher availability and simplified operations. At the same time, IT security was to be brought up to a contemporary standard and a solid foundation laid for further digitalisation.
SOLUTION
MTF implemented a multi-cloud architecture for KORN.HAUS that connects Microsoft 365 with the MTF Private Cloud. Microsoft 365 now forms the basis for communication and collaboration – with email, Teams and document management for location-independent working. Business-critical systems were migrated to the MTF Private Cloud in parallel. This allows KORN.HAUS to benefit from modern cloud services whilst retaining control, security and Swiss data storage for sensitive systems and data. Workstations have also been upgraded: new laptops and PCs, centralised device management via Microsoft Intune, and a multi-layered security concept featuring firewalls, endpoint protection and multi-factor authentication ensure secure and efficient operations. Support and operations are provided via a managed service with predictable monthly costs.

For over 50 years, this institution in the Tannzapfenland region has combined food production, high-quality craftsmanship and social integration. It works with natural products certified to Demeter and Knospe standards, as well as with sustainable, regional and organic raw materials.
