MTF & itnetX Continuing togetherunder one roof
Bern, 8 September 2026 – MTF Solutions and itnetX are taking the next step in their joint development. With effect from 1 April 2027, itnetX (Switzerland) AG will merge with MTF Solutions AG and will continue to operate as the Public Cloud Business Unit. This will bring together the companies’ expertise in private and public cloud, as well as complementary IT services, even more closely.
Since the acquisition of itnetX in April 2025, itnetX’s expertise in the Microsoft Public Cloud has complemented MTF Solutions’ capabilities in the areas of private cloud, infrastructure, security and IT services. From the outset, the aim has been to integrate private and public cloud more closely and to offer Swiss companies comprehensive multi-cloud solutions from a single source.
The experience gained over the past few months and the positive market feedback on the expanded service portfolio confirm that this is the right approach. With the merger, joint development will now be consistently pursued and MTF Solutions’ multi-cloud offering further strengthened.

Public Cloud to become a separate business unit
itnetX’s existing business will continue to operate within MTF Solutions as a separate Public Cloud business unit. itnetX staff will contribute their proven expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, as well as governance, compliance, security and AI, and will work alongside MTF Solutions to drive the further expansion of the public cloud business.
The merger will give customers even easier access to MTF Solutions’ broader range of services and to end-to-end IT solutions from a single source. In future, they will be able to draw on the expertise of over 300 staff and, in addition to established Microsoft and cloud expertise, access complementary services such as open-source DevOps.
New opportunities and continuity for customers
The merger also opens up additional opportunities in the field of new technologies. For instance, itnetX’s Microsoft and Copilot expertise complements MTF’s private cloud and AI infrastructure in Switzerland. This enables customers to combine public and private cloud approaches, as well as different AI scenarios, in a targeted manner according to their requirements.
At the same time, continuity in the partnership is maintained. Customers can continue to rely on their familiar commercial and operational contacts, as well as the experts at itnetX. The merger thus combines access to MTF Solutions’ additional expertise and resources with itnetX’s established Microsoft expertise.

Preparations for the merger will take place over the coming months and it will be implemented in close consultation with customers and partners. With this merger, MTF Solutions is consistently continuing its joint development with itnetX and strengthening its position as a Swiss provider of comprehensive private, public and multi-cloud solutions.
